Let me introduce “Miss Penny Lane” to you. Penny is a PB mini-dachshund, smooth red in color, and about 7-8 lbs in weight. She is a young, vivacious little girl, with show quality conformation.  The best guess is she is about 2 yrs old. Penny was owner surrendered to the Fort Worth Shelter. She had a injury to her rear end and our assumption is that she was surrendered because of this injury. There appears to be NO back issues, but it looks like her hips were caught in the closing of a door. When we first met Penny after her spay surgery, she was groggy  and weak/unbalanced on her back legs. Since recovery she has puppy energy and agility . While her back gait is a little off there seems to little to no weakness. She has no issues navigating doggy stairs and playing among our pack. We continue to try and keep her from jumping for general reasons but she easily conquers our furniture. Penny Lane is housetrained, kennel trained, gets along with other dogs male and female except when sharing a lap where she can be jealous of her person and warn others away. She is a perfect little dachshund lady that deserves the perfect new “Forever Home”. Her foster family will be glad to provide any addition information wanted.
