Urgent Fundraising Need! Help Apollo

2 year old Apollo was found wandering the streets alone and his finder suspected he was hit by a car. His head was wounded, blood clouded his left eye, and had trouble walking in a straight line from the blunt force trauma to his head. His condition was deteriorating quickly at Dallas Animal Services, but we refused to give up on him and sprung into action. We rushed Apollo to an emergency clinic, where he's now receiving critical care. With no other trauma besides the hit on his head, we believe Apollo may have been the victim of a heartbreaking act of abuse.
Apollo’s care over the next 24 hours is critical, and the cost is already nearing $4,000. We’re asking for your help to ensure this sweet boy gets the chance he so desperately deserves—to heal, to be loved, and to soon find his forever family who will never let him suffer again.

Calling All Animal Lovers: Help Us Save Lives - Become a Dachshund Foster!

We are in desperate need of dedicated foster homes to provide temporary love and care for rescued Dachshunds until they find their forever homes. As you may know, we do not use a shelter, but rather our dachshunds are in the loving care of a foster until their forever family is matched. Without new foster homes joining our network, we may be forced to freeze intake for new dogs, leaving countless precious lives at risk.

Fostering a Dachshund is a profoundly rewarding experience that allows you to witness the transformative power of love firsthand. As a foster parent, you provide a safe and loving home environment for a Dachshund in need. Your role is crucial in preparing these pups for their forever homes. By opening your heart and home, you help them regain trust, rebuild confidence, and experience the love they deserve. Reduced Suggested Adoption Fees

Bonded Pairs

CTDR has bonded pair dachshunds that need forever homes. We have dropped the adoption fees for these pairs so that they can find their forever homes together. The adoption fee for a bonded pair will be $350; the normal fee would be $500. A senior bonded pair will be only $250 total. These bonded pairs are adoptable:
