Please give a warm welcome to the happy-go-lucky Shorty! This little fella is one of the softest bundles of love you've ever seen. Some of his favorite activities include snuggling, eating treats, tearing apart squeaky toys, playing fetch, and did we mention snuggling? Shorty does amazingly well with women and older children, though he is a bit fearful of men. With lots of love and patience, however, he warms up and showers you with doggie kisses! He would do best in a home without children under the age of 10 and where he can enjoy the company of his people throughout the day. He does not like to be left alone for long periods of time (and will vocally let you know of his displeasure), so if you work from home or can visit him at lunch, you'll get along just dandy! Shorty seems to get along with other dogs (as long as there are slow and supervised intros), but definitely not cats! He is both crate-trained and leash-trained, though he does occasionally squirm out of his harness to go sniff at a nearby tree. While he may bark at other dogs while on a walk, he listens well and so is easy to (gently) correct. Shorty's had a pretty rough start on life and would sure love to find his fur-ever home. Could that home be yours?
