HI, my name is Baxter, but my foster parents call me Tigger because I bounce around everywhere.    I’m a one year old long hair brindle tweenie dachshund.   I’m full of energy and have a very loving personality.  I’m always excited to see you and love to cuddle.  I play well with other dogs once I get to know them.  I’m not sure how I would be around children, but my foster mother thinks I would be fine. I’m house trained and crate trained, but like most of my fellow breed I’m stubborn.   I ride well in cars and of course I like being in your lap.  I love going to the groomer to get handsome.   I also love going to dog parks and sniffing all the new smells.  I’m pretty independent and will do my own thing.  I like being outside so a backyard would be great.  I don’t dig so you don’t have to worry about me getting loose.  I need some training with commands and being on a leash, but I’m willing to learn.  I have some separation anxiety, but I’m willing to work on that.    Everyone says I have a very sweet personality and I’m looking forward to a home with lots of love and lots of patience.
