Elsa is a total lovebug who came into Rescue with her friend,  Ferdinand. They were obviously breeders in the past, not mistreated but not given much attention because they can't get enough loving and are so eager to please, they would love to have a lap available 24/7!! Elsa is a total sweetheart as well, she is very quiet and does exactly what you tell her, could be carried around all day and she would be happy, she has no issues with other dogs and fits in with my group very nicely!  They have learned to be in a crate here at my house and they get a treat when they go in it when I ask, so definitely that should be continued as they look for their treat.  They have slept in their crate since they have been with us.  They are both house trained IF they are taken out on a regular basis as any dachshund, they are not a breed to hold it very long, they will not use their crate!!!  The only bad habit that we have come across is their trying to dig out, they found two ways here at my dachshund proofed yard (I thought) to try and get out.  Luckily I know that the first few weeks in a new home you have to constantly keep an eye on them outside, now they have decided that one, they can't get out or two, they don't want to leave!!!!  They were obviously constant companions when they were found.  But can be adopted separately.
