They call me Mr. Mellow.  Meet Dapper, a handsome dapple boy with a soft coat and laid back personality.   This neutered eight year old is housebroken, gets along well with other dogs, and likes to be in your lap.  Don’t let the bowed legs fool you; Dapper can climb the stairs and use the dog door.   He loves perching on the back of the couch.   He’ll carry his toys, play a little tug of war, and likes his chewy bones.   Daps could be the official toy tester; he destroyed the “indestructible” squeaker toy in 20 minutes.  He's not much of a barker unless he hears a strange noise and the other dogs bark, too.  Dapper lets you know he wants something – up on the bed, back down again - with a whine or a single, seal like bark.   He has an adorable behavior where he bounces on his front legs when begging or asking to be picked up.  Dapper does well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and will sleep on a blanket by the bed or on top of the covers.  Although he doesn't like being left behind, he is not destructive in the house.
